Collection: Bharatanatyam Jada, Jadai & Kunjalam Sets

In South Indian tradition, the braid is not just a hairstyle; it is a canvas for divinity. At Golden Collections, we preserve the ancient art of Kesh Alankaram with our handcrafted range of temple hair ornaments. Whether for a Bharatanatyam dancer, a traditional Telugu bride, or a Deity, our collection transforms the braid into a symbol of auspicious beauty.

The Anatomy of the Perfect Jada

Our Secunderabad atelier curates every element required for the complete bridal or dance look, crafted in authentic antique polish and real Kemp stones:

  • Rakodi & Nagar: The crowning jewels placed at the top of the bun, symbolizing the hood of the serpent (Nagar) or the sun.
  • Jada Billa / Billai: Intricate circular jewelled clips arranged down the length of the braid, often in sets of nine or eleven.
  • Full Jada / Jadai: A pre-assembled, single-piece ornament that covers the entire length of the braid for ease of wear.

The Grand Finale: Jada Kuchulu

No braid is complete without the rhythmic sway of the tassels at the end. Known by many names across the Deccan, our tassels are heavy, ornate, and made to withstand movement:

  • Telugu: Jada Kuchulu / Jada Kuppulu
  • Tamil: Kunjalam
  • Kannada: Jede Kuchu

From lightweight pieces for young dancers to heavy heirloom sets for weddings, explore the heritage of 1961 woven into every strand.
